Sand Hill Inn ~ on the Lake, was formerly part of the French Country Inn. The lovely buildings on the west side of the grounds have become the new - Sand Hill Inn and Cottage.
Sand Hill Inn
Our lovely eight room Inn is a beautiful surprise as you turn off of highway 50 and drive down the tree lined curving road called Red Chimney Road. At the foot of the road, the view opens up to the beautiful 8 room Inn sitting on a pretty lakeside setting. This building houses our spacious rooms and a vintage gathering room (including the much loved Moose Head) for our guests to enjoy. The entire Inn can be booked for special family retreats or business events. The Inn's rooms all face the sparkling lakefront and have fireplaces and two person whirlpool baths. The upper four rooms in this building are two story with a spiral staircase leading to a small loft area with a private whirlpool facing the lake and an adjacent fireplace - very romantic for those special occasions! The two end units on the upper and lower floors have an additional sitting room - rooms 124 and 224.
Sand Hill Cottage
The Cottage offers 2 separate rooms for booking. These charming rooms have a "cabin on the lake" feel with a two sided fireplace facing both the bedroom area and the sitting area. The whirlpool is designed to make you feel as if you are floating in nature on the lake, as it is built directly next to the lakefront. These suites are room 125 and 225
Restaurant
The French Country Inn has opened their new restaurant called "The Getaway" on the original property. So you can enjoy a cocktail or a wonderful meal just steps from our luxury rooms.
